Workplace Reflective Practice

Nebraska Center on Reflective Practice

Helping professionals perform emotionally taxing work.

This hour-long webinar will explore how reflective practice can help mitigate those effects through reflection, attunement, and concepts like mindfulness.

Attendees will:

  • Gain a deeper awareness of what reflective practice is and why it’s important for the human services and early childhood workforces.
  • Learn about the core components of the FAN model of reflective practice.
  • Learn about what the Nebraska Center on Reflective Practice offers in terms of its training program and reflective consultation services.
  • Learn about some of our initial findings from our program evaluation.

Jamie began her work in child welfare and juvenile justice in 2010, specializing in casework with delinquent and status offense adjudicated youth with high behavioral health needs. Jamie has a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice, both received from the University of Nebraska. She has a career focus in working with children and families who are affected by parental substance use, enhancing the availability of trauma-informed evidence based services and building capacity and reflection within the human services work force.

Attendees may request a certificate of attendance, agenda, and handouts, which can be used for submitting and requesting CE credit on your own.
