Dr. Cali Estes with the Addiction’s Academy presents a 1-day virtual training on understanding Opioid Use Disorder and associated topics. Participation includes counselors, therapists, peer support /recovery/prevention specialists, consumer specialists, community health educators, and other behavioral health work-force.
The training will include the following domains:
 Medication Management
 Prevention Techniques
 Post-acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)
 Acute Withdrawal
 5 Brain health/neurotransmitters and why addiction occurs in the brain/dopamine path-ways
 Social Supports/Connections
 HIV
