Dr. Cali Estes with the Addiction’s Academy presents a 1-day virtual training on un-derstanding Opioid Use Disorder and associated topics. Participation includes coun-selors, therapists, peer support /recovery/prevention specialists, consumer special-ists, community health educators, and other behavioral health workforce.
The training will include the following domains:

• Medication Management
• Prevention Techniques
• Post-acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)
• Acute Withdrawal
• 5 Brain health/neurotransmitters and why addiction occurs in the brain/dopamine path-ways
• Social Supports/Connections
• HIV
