Nebraska Children is looking to facilitate an initial conversation to help inform a preventative process for housing sustainability by gathering data and feedback in order to direct resources to prepare for the economic crisis that will occur either during or post COVID-19 pandemic.  Our belief is that even if there is a moratorium on evictions, there will be a huge back fill on elapsed rental payments and utilities.  We are not certain how big this problem will be and/or if this will be limited to certain counties or communities.  We want you to join us on a conference call Thursday 03/26 at 1pm to 2:30pm central time.  If you can’t join due to technology issues or the time slot, please feel free and send any feedback you would have to the following areas of conversation.     

 The goal with the conversation:

• Identify the client needs or the possible needs that Nebraska should be preparing to address
• Talk about infrastructure needs and staffing needs in a virtual housing support/services environment
• Landlord or property management supports to maintain housing stays in place
• What are best practices or interventions that should be highlighted as strength based approaches to address housing needs
