Advanced registration required, E-mail naomi@cncaa.info by 2/22/21

CEU’s not available but training certificates are available to participants

Most of us do not deal well with grief, yet we all experience it.  What should I say?   What should I do?   This training will help adults cope with grief by discussing the myths about grief, what to say and not say to a grieving person, healthy and disruptive grief reactions, coping skills and remembrance rituals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify tools and strategies to assist and support adults coping with grief
  • Recognize myths and misunderstandings about grief
  • Understand the role of remembering and rituals
  • Review cultural and religious customs

This free, online training is sponsored by BHECN, Region 3 Behavioral Health Services, Hall County Community Collaborative (H3C) and hosted by the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism & Addictions, a partner agency of the Heartland United Way.

ABOUT YOUR TRAINERS:  Kay Glidden and Beth Reynolds-Lewis are experienced trainers regarding behavioral health topics. They are certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist Trainers and are Green Cross Academy of Traumatology Certified Educators. They provide insight, sincerity and humor as they lead this interactive training. Attendees receive steps and tools to improve the care they provide others and themselves.
