Join us this week Thursday at 3:30 PM for Hall County Parent connect. We are excited to be hosting Deb Borroff with the topic of Emotional Regulation through Mindfulness. Deb Boroff is a Professional Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Family Resources of Greater Nebraska and a School Counselor at Cedar Hollow School in Grand Island, NE. Deb has 24 years of experience working with children and adolescents in the school environment and also six-years providing clinical mental health to children and adults.  Deb specializes in helping families and individuals of all ages to learn to manage their emotions and reactions when experiencing anxiety and depressive symptoms.

Topic:

Mindfulness is a proven strategy to help anyone who wants to create a calm mind, have more clarity of thought, and manage everyday stressors with more resilience. Children and adults of all ages can benefit from learning and consistently using mindfulness strategies in their daily life. Techniques are easy to learn and use. Mindfulness will create a new mindset on how you manage your thoughts, emotions, and actions.

Deb will share various mindfulness strategies that will be easy to implement in your everyday life and help you and your child to manage strong emotions so emotions don’t control you.
